Citizen Volunteer Recognition
Citizen of the Year Award
The Select Board voted at its' meeting of February 26, 2020, to implement a Citizen of the Year Award to be presented at the Annual Town Meeting to the person or group that best fits the parameters of the award. The decision of who the honoree will be is made by the Town Administrator with input from members of the Select Board.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there were no nominations received for the first year (for the 2019 calendar year) to be awarded at the Annual Town Meeting in 2020.
For the calendar year 2021, the Town Administrator with input from members of the Select Board awarded the Citizen of the Year for the calendar year 2021 to Gail Noel for her years of service to the Town and its senior citizens at our Senior Center. The award was presented by Select Board Vice Chair Tim Toth and accepted by Community Services Director Jackie Prime on behalf of Gail Noel at the Annual Town Meeting on May 11, 2022.
